Doctor Dawari Charles holds a PhD in Petroleum Engineering, 30+ years post Ph.D. industry experience.  Dawari’s career has spanned academia, service company and Chevron USA. Until his retirement in October 2020, he was the Gulf of Mexico (GOM) RM Technology Coordinator and Chair of the highly successful Well Productivity Management (WPM) program, where he provided leadership to seven pillar practice areas (Reservoir & Rock Properties, Production Forecasting, Completions Design & Execution, Production Optimization & Performance, Facility Design, Wellbore Intervention and Stimulation Fluids). This program is credited with reversing the initial high production decline rates of several GOM reservoirs. He is credited for recognizing the potential benefits of fiber optic application in the RM space and led the adoption and implementation of the first fiber optics installation for reservoir surveillance in Chevron operated assets worldwide. He held several leadership positions of increasing responsibility within SPEI (International society of Petroleum Engineers), where he chaired SPE Well Monitoring subcommittee, Awards & Recognition Committee, Special Coordinator for Reservoir Description and Dynamics and a former Advisory Board Member for Reservoir Description and Dynamics. Chevron SME on pressure and rate transient analysis – featured in “Meet Our Expert” section of Reservoir Engineering Quarterly Newsletter (vol. 2, issue 2 – 2013).

Dr. Charles is currently the Managing Partner of Davadis LLC, a privately owned company registered in the State of Louisiana, USA, but currented relocated to Texas.

Femi Esan is an accomplished geoscientist and a former President of the American Association of Petroleum Geologist (AAPG) Africa Region. He spent most of his career working for Chevron before his retirement in December 2017 after working for 20 years in various locations, including Lagos, Nigeria, Houston, Texas, and Midland, Texas. He was Regional Technical Lead at C & C Reservoirs where he led the company’s technical studies using the company’s industry leading proprietary analog knowledgebase. He is currently the Managing Partner and CEO of ROXOIL ENERGY LLC a US based Energy Advisory and Geoscience Consulting Company.

His expertise covers reservoir characterization, green and brown field development and optimization, well planning and monitoring, seismic interpretation, and waterflood and CO2 flood design and management. He was involved in the management of some of Chevron Nigeria’s biggest onshore and offshore assets. . He has a bachelor’s degree in Geology and a master’s degree in Applied Geophysics from the University of Ibadan, an M.S. in Geology from Texas A&M University, and an MBA from Lagos State University. He is a fellow of the Nigerian Association of Petroleum Geologists (NAPE). He is also an AAPG Certified Petroleum Geologist.

Akin Idowu, is a seasoned geoscience professional and visionary leader, brings over three decades of enriching experience, mostly with Chevron Corporation. A trailblazer, he’s added 3 billion barrels of oil equivalent (BOE) and led innovative Chevron field redevelopment projects. He identified several new resources and developed them into top-performing assets in terms of rate of returns. He applies excellent portfolio management skills to rank these assets. His negotiation skills contributes to securing profitable deals and growing the value of assets for Chevron.

As Principal Consultant at Stellar Geoconsult in Houston, Akin pioneers’ creativity, deploying cutting-edge technologies to tackle client challenges. Bola Owoyemi is a development geologist with an interest in reservoir characterization and static modelling for reservoir management and optimization, with over 23 years’ experience in the oil industry. My experiences have focused on optimizing production from hydrocarbon reservoirs with emphasis on high resolution reservoir sequence stratigraphy and modeling. His work experience ranges from prospect generation, well planning, geo-steering of horizontal wells and static modeling.

Prospect generation and maturation is one of Bola’s skill experiences acquired over the years with Chevron Nigeria Limited. He was involved in integrating and interpreting geological and geophysical data to support opportunity identification, prospect generation, and maturation, key reserves validation and audits. He utilized various datasets including seismic, logs, fluids, and core, and leveraged advanced mapping, interpretation, modeling, and other techniques to support generated prospects. He also worked collaboratively with engineers, well planning, and drilling execution teams to safely deliver different well-drilling projects. In addition, He worked in well drilling operations and geologic modeling departments at various levels.

Bola is a member of the following organizations – American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG), Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationists (NAPE), Nigerian Metallurgical and Geoscientist Society (NMGS). He is a Certified Geologist – Council of Mining Engineers and Geologists (COMEG)
